One of the most valuable skills a woman can learn is the ability to network strategically.
Today, as we transition back into more pre-pandemic work functions, many of us women
camp professionals find ourselves struggling to find meaningful and supportive opportunities to practice and engage in networking with. ACA Illinois and the Women In Camp collective are excited to invite you to (re)connect with other local women camp pros at the first-ever, international Great SHERO Luncheon!
Join us in building a strong, intentional networking community that will not only help energize those rusty socializing skills, but also lend a hand in elevating your organization’s reputation and increasing your access to fundamental local, national and international resources.

Why your career advancement needs you to attend? Caroline Castrillon from Forbes says “For women to advance professionally, we need to exploit our one true advantage - a strong female support group. The support system and gender-specific career advice that women can provide other women are crucial to career advancement. Female mentorship in the workplace is more important than ever. Let’s band together so that tomorrow’s female leaders emerge from today’s inner circle.”
Embolden your current and future self with the skills of building a strong, supportive network to lean on when things are tough, and celebrate your hard-earned accomplishments.
Why your camp needs you to attend? We cannot emphasize enough how much a strong networking community can elevate your organization’s reputation. Research shows that benefits of women’s styles of networking include:
Gaining new perspectives; sharing knowledge and experiences;
Opening doors to valuable long-term contacts, sponsors and resources;
Gaining access to current industry information and essential resources; and
Growing your ‘social capital’, helping you along the leadership ladder at your agency or in future jobs.
